That went quick.
It was a rather uneventful month, I must say, but a few good things happened which I shall talk about later. For now, let's get into the wrap-up
What I Read:
The True Meaning of Smekday ~ Adam Rex

Overview: Gratuity "Tip" Tucci has her whole life shaken when her mother is abducted by aliens. Set out on a cross-country journey to find her, Tip reluctantly joins up with a Boov named J.Lo, and the two are all that's standing between humanity and their total destruction.
Rating: 5 out of 5 (it was hilarious and heart-warming and wonderful and so great)
The Silent Songbird ~ Melanie Dickerson

Overview: Evangeline is in a place she doesn't want to be - engaged to a man who disgusts her. Seizing an opportunity to change her life, she escapes, pretending to be mute until she is sure she is hidden. But falling in love with a lord's son was not part of the plan.
Rating: 5 out of 5 (this was so much sassier than most Melanie Dickerson books and I loved it)
The Twelve Dancing Princesses ~ Jenni James

Overview: Aleck works in the castle gardens, a job he enjoys that provides for his mother and siblings. But Princess Cascadia and her sisters are mysteriously waking up with blistered feet every morning, unable to remember why. And Cascadia has sought Aleck's help.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 (it was original, and short, but the writing style wasn't my favorite)
A Skeleton in God's Closet ~ Paul L. Maier

Overview: Jonathan Weber, a Harvard professor, takes his sabbatical in Israel, helping an old colleague with his archeological dig. Excitement fills the group as they discover that they are actually digging what seems to be the estate of Joseph of Arimathea. But then a parchment is uncovered that could change the course of human history forever.
Review: 4 out of 5 (I enjoyed the story but the writing style dragged a bit at times)
He Chose The Nails ~ Max Lucado

Overview: Max Lucado takes a look at the gifts that were given at the cross, even those you may not have thought of as gifts.
Rating: 5 out of 5 (we're doing a study based on this book in Sunday School leading up to Easter, and so I thought I'd check out the book. What I found was absolutely amazing. I can't recommend this one highly enough.)
What I Watched:
Girl Meets World:
I finally got around to binging the third season, and I'm so glad I did. It's so awesome to be back with these characters... I missed them. I really did. But a lot went down this season (which I think might be the last one? -sadness-), but the triangle was resolved as I hoped it would be so
(ugh this precious sunshine child I love her so much)
Once Upon a Time:
Season 6b is off to a great start, and I'm personally enjoying it so much more than the first half of the season. There's so much FRIENDSHIP I LOVE IT.
Bull:

There are seriously not enough people watching this show. There's so many great friendships and fantastically sassy moments and I just. It's taking over my life and that's 100% okay.
Beauty and the Beast:
I don't normally include films on this list (though I don't really know why), but this one was special. It was beautiful and amazing and magical and I want to go see it again. (also I have not stopped listening to the soundtrack for what is now a solid two weeks. yeah.)
What I Listened To:
I discovered the wonders of Owl City this month (*flail*), rediscovered some old favorites, found some new favorites, and of course, listened obsessively to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack.
What I Posted:
I actually posted 4 things this month which is much better than last month, hehe... he
(I just realized that I actually posted the "The Princess and I" spotlight this month... not last month.)
Then I reviewed "The LEGO Batman Movie".
Then we took a look at some of my favorite fictional friendships.
And finally we learned how God loves us as The Beauty Loved The Beast.
What I Plan To Read:
As April is going to be a busy month, I'm trying to keep my TBR small, so I'm just going to put three books.
Ring of Fire ~ P.D. Baccalario (because I'm going to finish this book this month I'm determined.)
The Screwtape Letters ~ C.S. Lewis (because I got a bunch of C.S. Lewis books on sale recently and this is the one everyone said I should read first.)
Lost in a Book ~ Jennifer Donnelly (because ALL THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST STUFF)
And that's about it from me for this month! What was your favorite book you read this month? Any television/film discoveries I just have to know about? Let me know in the comments below!
~ Mia
