Favorite Quotes ~ Classics Edition

Classics are something that have always been a huge chunk of my reading experience.  And some of the most beautiful quotes in literature have come from classic novels.  (not that modern books don't have some beautiful quotes... but that's another day.)

So today, we're going to take a look at some of my favorite quotes from classics.

Oof, those were hard to choose.  I'm sure as I read more classics, I'll find more favorite quotes, but for now, there's a few.  What's your favorite quote from a classic?

  2. Good choices! I really like that Laura Ingalls Wilder quote. :D

Hmm, a favorite classic quote? ...One might be this one from Pollyanna by Eleanor H. Porter:
"Perhaps; but I'm thinking that the very finest prism of them all is yourself, Pollyanna."
"Oh, but I don't show beautiful red and green and purple when the sun shines through me, Mr. Pendleton!"
    "Don't you?" smiled the man.
(Maybe this one's more meaningful when you read it in context, but ah well, I do enjoy this scene a lot. ^_^ ) And of course, I have many more favorite quotes as well like you do. ;D

    Lovely post, Abby!
