Did I get your attention?
So my beautiful friend Rosey Mucklestone (known around the interwebs as writefury) has had this story for years. It's made the OYAN [that's One Year Adventure Novel, if you didn't know] rounds, and somehow (???) I never ended up reading it (??????). I don't know how this travesty happened, but here we are. I've seen all the flailing about Wolfgang and Co. and knew that I would love them if I would ever buckle down and read the dang book. Then I discover that Rosey is publishing it!?!?! And she's putting together a blog tour and I could get the chance to read it again!!!
And thus, here we are. And I apologize in advance for the major fangirling that is about to go down.
Blank Mastermind

Author: Rosey Mucklestone
Genre: Sci-fi/futuristic, I guess?
Content: Quite a few mild swears, and a lot of blood and mentions of death, the aftermath of a massive bombing, etc. Wolfy is a supervillain, after all.
Synopsis:
Amnesia is annoying. The poor hero has to find out everything about his wonderful life again and re-meet all the lovely people he knew before, then go to stop the villain. But what if the life that starts showing itself isn’t wonderful, the people aren’t lovely and the villain is… yourself?
What I Thought:

Howwww have I not read this before??? It's so gooooood. And it's so original and so perfectly equal parts funny and feelsy and if I were to give it a show that it would vibe with, it would be the MacGyver reboot.
The originality of this concept was so cool. I had no idea it was a super-hero (or rather super-villain) story and I LOVE it. This takes place in an alternate future where the government scientifically modified good people to give them superpowers which, of course, gives rise to mistakes which, of course, give rise to villains. Namely Wolfgang, though he can't remember any of it. Which is awesome.
The character arc Wolfgang goes through is amazing, because he gets a life-reset and has to decide what to do with it. I also loved his crew, I loved Dallas, I loved Fernsby and the Fernsby family (including Leith who is the cutest thing ever), I just loved everything about this and it was amazing and you should all go read it when it comes out on the 13th!!
Favorite Quote: There are honestly too many to choose from but "The reason why I decided to have a life-and-death brawl backstage an opera continued to elude me." which establishes from the first chapter that this is going to be fun.
Overall Rating: 5 ice cream pints out of 5
